Big muff battery cover?!?!?!

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Fuzzfarmer, Oct 16, 2005.

  1. Anybody have a remedy for the missing modern big muff(russian) clip style battery cover? yea, duct tape will cover the hole, but it wont keep the battery from slamming around inside.

Also, anybody ever try a downtuned guitar(6 stringer tuned to B) through a big muff that has the bass mods? How did it sound?

Wrap the battery in something to make it snug. Then cover with duct tape :)

    That's so punk rock btw.
  3. Thats a pretty good idea, but it would have to be wrapped with a lot of something to keep it from banging around in there and tearing the leads off. Then it would be to big to come out of the hole when it was time to change the battery. You would have to take the whole thing apart.

hmm..you did give me an idea....some squishy foam inside to hold the battery up close to the hole...duct tape ....or something else screwed over the hole..

or would foam not be good for the inside of the muff? EH should make little battery compartments in there.....like the old green sovtek one i used to have...

How about attaching the battery to a piece of heavy cardboard or something and duct taping the whole thing to the Muff? The cardboard will be the cover and holder.

place the battery on the duct tape, then add a few strips to that side of the duct tape, slap it on the back and profit
