Um, basically Im using a 'First Act' Fred Meyer style guitar amp for my 5-string cort bass...Will this cause any problems?
Oh, and I was wondering if a compression pedal for a guitar would be a good Idea for bass, like, would it make tapping or slapping any easier?

    Thanks.

You'll probably destroy the speaker in the amp in fairly short order if you use any volume at all.

  3. Well it'll make your notes more even, won't exactly make these techniques any easier ;)

Sometimes overworked guitar amps sound thin and distorted. You'll probably blow the speaker soon then have the farting distored sound. It's fun here and there but I'd recommend you get a new amp.
