Greets, I just got a Groove Tools, Bill Dickens Sig. series 7-string on Monday of this week, and have been having a ball with it. It is so much easier to play that I had imagined. Question for anyone who might have been down this road: What's the most reasonable place to inquire about a hard case for it? I do have a email into Bill C. as to pricing and availability directly from Conklin, but I'd be into alternatives. I'm not looking necessarily at ATA grade, but just a hard case to get it to and from gigs in one piece. Any and all help is appreciated. BTW - I appologize in advance if this is the wrong forum.
would you mind sharing a little bit about your new BD?? im seriously looking at getting one and would like as much info as you can give me. thank you
, yep. Got an email off to him. I was just looking into alternatives...you know, to know my options. By the way, I am very much into the specs of your hallow body that Bill's working on for you... Can't wait to see it (I'm sure you are crawling out of your skin, and you haven't even ordered it yet...)
The only other place I might think to ask would be to email Musicians Friend to see if they have any extras laying around for sale, as they do carry the GT-BD7.
Yeah, I saw there cases....pretty cheezy IMO. All they have is a nylon gig box, re-enforced with foam and padding. Thanks for the input though.
Your talking about this particular case? http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7...44/g=bass/g=bass/search/bigpid/base_id/45225/
yeah, those cases are fine - not quite as sturdy as a solid case, but alot easier to deal with. to be honest, i use double gig bags for all of my customs for gigging. since i make sure they are being taken care of properly, i don't have to worry, and since i usually bring 4 to a gig, it makes life a lot easier.
Brian R. Tyler & john turner, Thanks for the input guys! The price is sure right on these at $119.95, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my money and putting too much trust into something that I shouldn't. ~Cheers~ DEFELDUS, QUITE TRYING TO HIJACK MY THREAD! Bassmasta86, Don't get any on the monitor....take it easy there. Bernie Connors, To the best of my knowlege, it has these on it:
The strings on your bass are Dean Markley SR2000s. Conklin Snakeskins are the same strings, but they have a purple-colored winding instead of a gold one like the SRs have.
