Was posted before in the recordings forum many times, but is very good! great speed, wonder how good it would sound without distortion..

I saw Talas with Billy and it was effin amazing. They did an instrument change for a song, to do Van Halen's "Ain't Talkin Bout Love", wow is all I can say to that. Listen to the melody riff of "Inner Mounting Flame" from "The Talas Years" or his cover of "Meanstreet" on a Niacin CD. Shred doesn't even begin to describe. One of his fave bassists is mine too, John Entwistle. "The Real Me" is my fave bass tune, followed by Jimi's "Fire"

Thanks for posting that, even though it's obviously been posted before. I hadn't seen it.

I personally think that Billy is one of the best "rock soloist" out there. He obviously has his bag full of tricks, but sometimes his solos bore me to death.

    I´ve seen/heard him playing with Talas/David Lee Roth/Mr Big/Niacin and G3. He´s obviously a terrific live performer, but I find him a bit flashy.

No one is the best, nearly every bass player has a different style.

there's no substance to it, let alone groove. It's a bass, not a guitar. I hurts me to see bass players look up to this guy as a bass player.

    +1 to the max!

Try coming up with a comeback to that one, bitches!

P.S. I'm not being an ass, I seriously thought that was funny.

WOW that kicked ass...for you guys that think he is a guitarist with four strings really havn't heard enough of Sheehan to know if he can groove or not or not...I guess you must rather see people doing back flipps, kicks and spins, and throwing thier guitars around their heads then showing thay can actually play the damn thing. I guess if he was slaping it then would be killer then? I just love it you guys brag on one then condemn the other. :meh:

Anyway thanks Scourge441 for posting that. I never seen it the first time.

no one (i certainly wasn't) questioning the fact that he is great. but i wouldn't go as far as saying he is the best. excellent, yes; best??? i don't think so.

p.s. i will beat up both dads and bassists and anyone else who wants to rumble...

just kidding mate. loosen up if someone has a different opinion ;)

to be honest you should knock people for liking it. sheehans style is not to groove, its to shred. remember not everyone likes the same music. some people like the tech stuff others like groovey music.
