I have a few projects on the go also. Totally hobby. This Aria Pro II B&G I had its rout hacked up before I got it. Its been sitting for two years with an MM pickup in it so I just recently sat down to fix the rout.

A refinish and new headstock script is in the future. Then a Rautia pup and I'll do the electronics.

I hope it works it's way back up at some point. Those Embassy Basses are great and unique. I have a '64 Tbird as well. Love it dearly - and, still, often prefer the Embassy; really light and very resonant. Tone similar to the Tbird but different. Both great. I know you know this...

  6. Proud owner of a black '79 T-Bird here. In '84 I traded a 6 banger '72 Nova and $100 for it.
T-Bird is the only Gibson I ever coveted, felt no love for any others I've had.
Looking forward to seeing the outcome of your '77 T-Bird restoration.
Those later '60's non-reverse Bird's look pretty cool to me also!

So here's the bridge I modded for my '77 a few years ago, solves all the problems of the three point with zero modification to the bass. It's what I'm probably going to use on this one. The string silk won't hang over the E saddle and all strings are individually height adjustable. I call it the 'Nevertilt', a play on Gibson's Evertilt which was inroduced in late '77 as the successor to the bar bridge on EBOs and other Gibby's. It was also a POS.

The one I'll be using on this build will also use the front screw. It moves the bridge back quite a bit from where the three point is located. Note the E string silk on the saddle. and the intonation is still off

Same Ken Smith Rock Masters now in the clear.

Strings can now be set super low with better break angle than the three point.

    No modification to the bass!

This is brilliant! It looks great.

I was going through my wood storage this morning and saw these:

I got them several years ago with the idea to build a doubleneck.

I got one of Scott's bridges today, very nicely made bit of kit, streets ahead of the original and the 3 point

I've done similar in the past, I prefer individually adjustable saddle heights and string spacing.
