Howdy TB. Looking for a non-solid body fretless electric/piezo for bluegrass, so this beauty has to go. It's in excellent condition. Traded for it here: SOLD - Birdsong Fusion Short Scale Bass As-new when I got it and babied since. Walnut body, maple neck, rosewood board (beautiful grain/figuring), plus a number of upgrades (like rear access cavity, ebony nut, walnut headstock cover, rosewood trim). Side fret dots and alternate fret markets (short vertical lines). Currently strung with TI flats. Comes with usual Birdsong hard case in good condition. EDIT: Recent pics added. Price now reduced to $1350 plus actual shipping CONUS. Sorry, not interested in any trades. Thanks for looking, DM
Still no takers on this beauty?!?!? Fantastic deal vs getting it new! I want one... still no moohlah, though...
[Looking for a non-solid body fretless electric/piezo for bluegrass] How about installing a piezo bridge or something similar? That or I can trade you my Tele bass (kidding... well... not really). As far as non-solid... ummm... carve it like a pumpkin. Either way she’s beautiful... wish I had the moohlah... GLWTS!
Also willing to consider trades for tube stuff (only) - Shaw, Noble, Jule. Let's hear what you got and we can talk.
Man this is a really good deal for a great sounding bass I can't believe it's not sold yet. I have a Fusion fretless and I love mine. Scott at Birdsong has said the Fusion is his favorite of his basses.
Thanks again for this fantastic bass. I just got back from a trip and was finally able to play it today. I now understand all the praises Birdsongs get. Though I don't play fretless much, it's so easy to play this one I'm going to take it as my main bass to play with my surf band at a gig tomorrow and expect it will be played frequently in the years to come. I was afraid it would lack depth...it does not. More a precision than a Jazz, but even more an upright than a Precision. Best sub-7-lb upright sounding bass I've heard.
