This is a short scale T-Bass by Thin the Herd guitars in Round Rock Texas, it's produced offshore and assembled and setup in the USA. These were designed by Scott Beckwith from Birdsong Guitars, and IMO are an amazing value for the money. This is the prototype for the model, signed by Scott on the back of the head stock, it is the same exact bass featured in the YouTube video below.

It sounds GREAT, deep and modern, and the pickups are quite nice. I bought it with the intention of swapping a preamp and EMGs into it, but I don't get along with the larger neck and string spacing. I just have to many basses, and I owe Scott cash to get a new Birdsong build started.

    30.5" Scale
    Neck and body binding
    Passive Soapbars (EMG 35 size)
    Volume/Tone and 3 way switch
    1 5/8" at the nut
18 or 19mm string spacing at the bridge (seems a little in between when I measure it)
Curt Mangan Birdsong Signature 45-105 strings
    Weighs 8.9 lbs

It comes with a hard shell case, but in the interest of full disclosure, it's not the greatest case in the world.
There are two indents in the back of the neck (see pics) where the case bit into the wood during shipping.
There are also a few minor scuffs on the head stock, and one small scratch by the neck joint. None of this is major, and nothing penetrates the finish. I would call it "good clean used condition" if it weren't more or less brand new. I will pack it to be bombproof, and pad the interior of the case when I ship it.

Looking for $675 $625 $550 NOW $500 shipped, Paypal is fine.
Not really looking for trades, but you could tempt me with other short scale basses or a nice (six string) Strat or Tele. I'm also always looking for nice mics and 500 series studio gear.

Pretty darn good actually, I haven't noticed any issue with neck dive at all.

Might you be able to describe the contour/feel of the neck? Round? Flat?

I see the size you posted. Thanks!

Fingerboard is quite flat, not much arch at all. The neck itself is a thinnish C shape, I find it pretty fast and easy to get around on. Here is a quick picture, maybe it will help?
