Find something else. I think my dental hygienist wears the BLs shirt.
i've played in lots of festival shows, hot days, FLORIDA shows at times. I would never and have never worn shorts. Even when it was 100 degrees and i was in the full sun. I think it's a bad look
For 90% of the acts I play with... I’m the uniform dude.
Why.... the bad choice of well intended guys.... concert ts.... crazy grampa hat... something that used to be cool
Much less work to have a plan
Ah. Well. You guys aren't exactly going for a rockabilly aesthetic anyway. It's more of a retirees strolling down the boardwalk...… thing.
Don't try "The Chumlee" look
Same here, I have played outdoor shows... in Texas...in August... and still refuse to wear shorts
Oh, I definitely agree. Jeans and boots for me.
However, I'm just suggesting that if they are outside for most gigs and can't agree to pants, then go all the way with the way they're already heading. Get some cool sandals (not Crocs!), and Hawaiian shirts (non-matching), maybe a couple guys get beads and/or sunglasses, etc and embrace the "beach" thing. The gulf between rockabilly and surf isn't insurmountable and if you're within a few miles of the coast it might even go over well with the tourists.
Personally, I'm as offended by the sketchers as the cargo shorts (though it's a tough choice) but maybe this is turning into too much picking on the OP's Band's fashion choices?
Here's what you need.
does it ever?
I can't. The pics help prove his point that the shirts don't work. at all....
I dunno. After the pictures, we got nine more pages of fashion advice.
I like the shirt. Just needs a scarf and some blue suede shoes
Sounds like fried ice cream. Not possible
While true, i don't think the optional parts of the outfit really helped either...would any shirt look good when framed like that?
i didn’t make it that far hahaha
haha, yeah, a little passaggro behaviour there... "OK, we'll wear your shirt, but the rest of the outfit will look like crap, as a protest."
Totally inappropriate for the gigs I do. What brand and where can I buy it?
Re stage clothes problem, In one band I was with, after many years of this dilemma, we settled with the easiest, laziest option: Everyone wears black, you want to be original? Accessorize!
It works fine.
Here's the link I found... Good luck! Situationally inappropriate attire. lol...
Shake Down Black and White Button Up Bowling Shirt
Stay home and play in your underwear or you go out and get the gigs and manage the ungrateful.
