Because Photobucket has chosen to in effect "take down" everyone's photos (unless you pay them), we have extended post edit time in the Luthier's Corner to UNLIMITED.  If you used photobucket and happen to still have your images of builds, you can go back and fix as many of your posts as far back as you wish.

Wow, those are the first shots of your Gecko I've ever seen Brian... That looks GREAT...

Yours looks great as well, Persta... Got any finished shots?

  6. That is just about the exact look I'd like to eventually get when I do a 6 string Gecko in the future. That dark of black Limba with Wenge finger board and neck. Awesome! :D

  7. Thanks! I'm going to put the bass back together some day next week. I'll post more pictures then.

When I went w/ my Warmoth Dinky J, I also had them put a blue trans finish on it. It looks really cool, but I was hoping it would have a lighter hue to it, so as the grain would bleed thru more.

I've been thinking about ordering a new body to oil finish.

Another thing, my finished bass is VERY body heavy... NO neck dive what so ever... It just feels very heavy...
