All the projects must go! I don't know the origin of this body, but it definitely wasn't professionally worked on as there are some mistakes here and there on it. I'm not exactly sure what type of wood it is, but it looks like black korina or limba to me. Just oil finished, so there are plenty of scratches, belt rash and small nicks, but no cracks or major dents. The body (with recessed Dunlop Straplock buttons), four 25K pots, battery box, and control cavity cover are included. I believe this body was originally for a 4-string but the previous owner widened it out for a Stingray 5 size neck. The neck pocket has some shims and looks like someone was trying to chisel it bigger on the side. I guess they abandoned the string thru as there are two dowels on the back. I was planning on sanding it down, routing the neck pocket larger for Fender size 5-string neck (2.9" wide) and rebuilding, but I've got way too many projects in the garage. Neck pocket specs: 2.78" (71 mm) width 3.4" (86mm) length 0.70" (18mm) depth Weight: 4 lbs SELLING FOR $90 + SHIPPING, just PM me for a quote (international shipping OK).
When I was younger, it was harder to turn down a beautiful body because possible of future issues ...
It just needs a good home...won't you adopt it? Adoption fee is a paltry $100. It's a a good piece of wood that would look great once properly routed and finished. If it doesn't sell, I'll likely just tackle it myself.
Can’t do it right now unfortunately. Still in recovery from chemo and radiation.... can’t even get into the shop currently
Sorry to hear that man, my wife's cousin is currently going through the same. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery!
