Black or White guard on this bass?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by angelopb, Feb 2, 2005.

  1. I just ordered and received a black guard and a chrome pup cover for this Michael Dolan vintage-style jazz 5-string. The original guard is actually mint white. I just wanted some input on aesthetics so I thought I would post before I install anything.

although a black/red tort would look hot.
  3. Black.

Although tortoise and blank pearl would do a good job as well.
  4. black, white looks kind of cheap imho, although it is a very nice bass.

Black for sure. I think white looks good on white guitars but that bass is much classier with a black pg imho.
  17. I'd like it better with a Pearloid white gaurd ;)
