Black Party Politics Is Looking For A Bassist!

Hello Basheads,

Black Party Politics is searching for a bass player who is entirely committed to continued success as a professional musician. We are in the process of recording a full length album, we play local and non-local gigs, and we have management to take care of the really hard stuff. Here's what we're looking for:


Preferably someone between the ages of 20 and 26, physically able to play many high intensity shows in succession. Bassist must have a solid understanding of melody and harmony and be willing to work collaboratively on new material in the near future. Must have an eclectic taste for music spanning many genres. Preferably someone who is heavily influenced by the aggressive slap bass/performance style of Flea, the soulful interplay of vocals and bass of James Jamerson, the nasty bass riffs of Bootsy Collins, and the asymmetrical razor funk of Tom Waits. Ability to sing, read and write music a plus!

Very strong, aggressive performer that is not afraid of crowds and would be comfortable playing with a very active band!
We'd like to work with someone that has good gear, a good ear, and steady independent income for the time being.
