Blackstar fly bass and low B

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Andy Daventry, Dec 7, 2017.

  1. I have a particular use for a very, very small amp, and a very simple question. How does the Blackstar respond to a low B? Actually, does it respond at all? Or does it melt? Has anyone tried?

I couldn't even find a video of anyone playing low B on a fly. I do know the Phil Jones Double 4 handles a low B just fine but it's much much more expensive.

  3. Me neither, so I thought - what the hell I'll just get one on spec. Then I'll report back here. It arrives tomorrow. Phil Jones is too expensive for a bedroom amp for me. Thanks for the answer, lug.

  4. Here's my review:

Yes, it handles a low B just fine. But it's so shoddily made I have already returned it.
