I'm looking to remove the preamp from my Marcus Miller Jazz Bass, and replace it with a passive set up... I'd like to wire it Volume/Blend/Tone, with a series/parallel switch. My bass has a hole for a switch already, so I'd rather use a toggle switch for this. I'm also planning on shielding the bass and using star grounding, per Lyle Caldwell's Pictorial.

Could someone who is knowledgeable in this are put together some sort of diagram for this?

Also, what value pots would I need to use? The pickups I'm using are Aero Type 1 Jazz Bass pickups.

    all audio taper pots, right?

  4. on passive basses:
for volume controls use audio taper
for tone controls use linear taper
