blisters

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [DB]' started by Musik Meister, May 17, 2002.

  1. I just got my DB today and to my surprise my two right fingers were blistered after only a hour of (trying) to play. I've been playing EB for a long long time and I thought I had tough skin on my fingers. So does this happen to everyone or am I doing something wrong?

It'll take about a year to get your callouses together and get your strength up. Just play every day.

The blisters are normal, but your hands will toughen up. I don't play my electric much, but a few weeks ago I played it at church and had a lot of trouble. I was attacking the strings so hard the strings kept hitting the pickups and making a racket. I had to really concentrate and think "soft". It wasn't as fun that way though.
