just curiouse. I bought a new (to me) bass and the strings have blue silk on top and bottom, and was round wound.

bass they're on is a spencer P-bass 4 string, and the strings are still full of life.

    Light blue or dark blue?

  3. I'm curious too as I'm in a similar situation w/a J Bass, mine are dark blue on both ends, excellent mids, not a stainless steel sound.

If its the Blue on the Left, it is a Rotosound Swing Bass Nickel 66

    rotosoundsilk.

Fender also uses that blue on some Flats... not 100% sure if they use that color on rounds
