I'm gonna buy a BBE BMAX preamp next week. I wanted to get a 2-space power amp that provides enough amount of power, that's not too heavey and from a good company.

I want a Carvin DCM1500. Supposedly the amp is now 2U instead of 3U, and it's lighter also. Is this true? The website says it's 2U now, but I'm not sure about the weight. I plan to use them with my Aguilar GS410 and 2 GS112's.

Do you think that pre/power setup would be a good one??
I love that the Carvin has the Speakon outputs (one for ea. channel and one for bridge mode), and it's pretty cheap.

I've heard very good things about Carvin amps, and I'd like to know what do you think about this. If sombody has this setup, please tell me how you like it.

    Thanks...

  2. The best thing about Carvin is their power amps. Solid, reliable, and they sound good. Coupled with a BMax should yield positive results.
