    Do any of you salty bassist have tabliture for Bob Segers 'Old Time rock and Roll'?

    This is an extremely simple bass line, and it would be a great place to start learning to play by ear. I'll give you a few hints to get you started. The bass plays 1/8 notes, staying on the root pretty much the whole time. It is a standard I-IV-V pattern, in the key of F#. In other words, the first chord is F#, so you would play the root note(F#, 4th string, second fret), playing 1/8 notes. If you know any theory at all I have already given you the rest. If you don't, then USE YOUR EARS! It is a very easy song. Good luck....
