bocate, what does it sound like.

    well i searched the forums and to no avail. what does bocate sound like. its a great looking wood and looks very similar to zebrawood. i like it. but does it also sound similar to zebra wood? or no...any help.

    I've never played/owned a bass with it.

    However, here's what I have on it as a tonewood - "It has good extension in the highs and sounds quite "solid" because of a slight emphasis in the lower midrange/upper bass. It also has a slight emphasis in the mid treble."

    To me, that sounds like a description of alder that took Viagra.

    hahahahahaha. classic. ill have to look into it. i saw a picture of sawn zebrawood on the alembic site today. WOW! i like it better than reagular zebrawood. im trying to debate between bocate and this sawn zebrawood given that zon has it.
