Body blanks

    It doesn't matter if a lutheir answers this. What is a good web site that sells a variety of different types of wood blanks that could be used to build a bass.

    Go to exoticwoods.com . good stuff, relatively cheap.

    what kind of wood are you looking for? If it is nothing to fancy you may be able to get it at a local lumber yard, and it will be much cheaper. If you are lucky you may have an area around you that carries exotic woods. Ask at a lumber yard where you can get exotic woods locally. Buying wood, and then cutting it yourself is much cheaper then buying blanks for guitars, just pick through the pile until you find what you are looking for. With exotics(here at least) they woll usually cut a small piece for you so that you need not buy a whole board.

    Ditto for me on the local lumber yards. Anyone who knows you're going to make a guitar out of the wood will ream you on the price.

    Look in the yellow pages under "hardwoods" and start calling.
