okay...here's the deal. eventually i'm getting another bass. i really want a p bass. i just love the tone. but...everybody where i live has one, so i wanted to get something that sounds similar, but looks alittle different. so i'm thinking i'm gonna build one with parts from warmoth. so i've pretty much narrowed the body down to either a 54 p bass, or j bass body with a p/j configuration. i want something that's maybe alittle heftier. i'm a big guy. another thing...i'm planning on putting a p style neck on it. how would that work out with the j body? basically i guess i'm asking which body style is bigger, and how would a p style neck do on a j style body?

Doesnt the Mark Hoppus signature bass have a jazz body with a p-bass neck??

Warmoth's P & J necks are interchangeable. So, you could pick either a J body or a P body, and match it to a P-width neck. Warmoth will route either body for a PJ configuration. My personal fav is a J body with a PJ config and a J neck.
