Because Photobucket has chosen to in effect "take down" everyone's photos (unless you pay them), we have extended post edit time in the Luthier's Corner to UNLIMITED.  If you used photobucket and happen to still have your images of builds, you can go back and fix as many of your posts as far back as you wish.

well, i've posted the claro walnut that i am planning on using for the top and bck of my bass. now I am thinking that maybe i will just use it for the top and do a mahogany body ( there is a tres sweet Fodera on his site with claro top and mahog body.) on the other hand, the flamed maple core that i have has great figure that would be a shame to hide- could use that as the body and then i could appreciate the flame on the back.

My first plan was to walnut front and back and just admire the flame visible on the sides.

THe upshot of just putting on a claro top I think is that I would have enough to do two more basses with the material that i would have left over.
