Has anyone ever taken their bolt-on Bass apart for travelling purposes?.Say for Plane journeys. To bring on as hand luggage.
  2. Talk to your airline. Some place will allow electric guitars on, and some won't. The funny part is that the ones that won't say it's a security issue. You could take the strings off and choke someone, or use the guitar as a club.

If they won't let you, get a hold of your local SKB dealer, and get an SKB44-RW. It's a flight-approved hardcase. Very durable, it holds your bass in a gig bag inside the hard case. Big thing, too. Unfortunately, it costs about $200. If anyone trys to charge you more than that, tell them that GC has it for that.

Damn, I remember too much about that job.

  3. Wow, I'd like to know how long they plan to keep it at that price. That's about $30 below Guitar Center dead cost right there.
