I just got through ordering my new Bongo five-string. Ninety days until happiness sets in. The problem is that the case that EB/MM suggests be included in the deal is too small. The fiver is longer than the four. I went to GC and tried all of the stock cases there. None fit. They suggested a Gator case. Of course, they don't carry Gator. What cases to other Bongo fivers use? They all can't be housed in gig bags!?

I can help you, no problem.

The case you were offered from GC was most likely NOT the right case. I will further guarantee that the case you were offered was NOT the one that EB/MM recommends, because I sell these basses, and the G&G case they recommend fits the bass 4 or 5 string, perfectly.

If you need any help, please feel free to PM me.

And the Bongo 5 will not easily fit into a regular gig bag, either. The headstock sticks out of ALL the different bags I have around the house. The damned thing is like 48" long!

The 4 bangers fit in a bunch of different stuff, although you have to be careful.

I tried gig bags at GC too. A fiver will fit in a Ritter soft case. Just barely. Thanks for the support!
