MM Bongo Players - what type of music are you playing this bass on??
Polynesian death metal chamber music. It's perfect.
Not an owner but have you tried one? Lots of tones available - I think you could use it for anything really.
Throwback country and wise-ass rockabilly.
Plus, at home, anyway, EVERYTHING.
I find it suitable for any kind of music (putting my limitations aside, of course). That's the reason why the EBMM Bongo is my #1 instrument.
I'll let you know in a month and a half.
I had a dream that I played a Bongo last night, but it sounded like a P-bass. I need to see a sleep doctor.
I keep targeting a Musicman as the remaining bass spot to fill for what I do... then I see a Bongo thread and remember how versatile they are and remind myself to just get a bongo when that time comes.
I play more Andalusian speed reggae opera with mine. And some Christian death country rap, as well.
(PS: It's a great bass - I use it for everything)
Progressive Rock, Alt Rock
You name it, Bongo does it. I found it especially nice on the type of stuff I play...Rush, Maiden, Porcupine Tree.
I like something more present than a P bass but play my Bongo with Chromes (bright flats) and it still is old school enough for blues and classic rock. Got another make 5 string with rounds for more jazzlike tunes.
Bongo with chromes sounds interesting.
Mostly loud stuff, occasionally a slow tune, no acoustic.
The Bongo does just about everything I want from a bass.
