coming from the world of steel guitar where these (now quasi-vintage) compact stereo radio / amps are secret tone weapons and having just gotten another recently for general music listening I'm curious if these can handle some intimate vol. bass fun? my old one handled the low B on an 8 string steel just fine.
of course I have mine to try out but being ensconced in it's happy place and dragging it all back out to answer my own question would be a ...drag. this one is not the original model which had sliders for vol. / treble / bass but it does what I bought it for, however, if the idea is a winner I'll get an earlier issue again just for guitar / bass use, and if there are positives maybe this thread can help discover more aspects of it's hopeful wonders. anybody given it a shot?

Tried it once. Worked ok. I'd rather play through a small combo. Plenty of quality options out there now.

indeed there are, and thanx for confirming my suspicions, I wanted it to give extra bottom / tone options when I Y cord to other little amps I use in the apt. like my (brand new off CL) Peavey Vypyr VIP 1 which I'm having fun getting confused with lol

  4. For apt use I’d go “silent” thu a headphone amp

    Line6 or Pandora

tone and aural expansion options are the goal, not appeasing the neighbors lol actually worked towards the tryout stage a bit yesterday but gotta round up the appropriate linkage so I can Y my signals etc. I think the bottom end will be even better with the BOSE than my apt. amps, or at least different with the dispersal.

  7. You may wish to consider Bergantino BI head ( broad aural palette) and Berg cabinet ( many options)
