Boss dd3 vs dd7 hold setting

Going to buy one of these and it comes down to this one feature because I believe they're different and wanted to check and make sure.

dd3 hold, to stop the effect you just step on it once and dd7 to stop effect you have to double tap? Can anyone verify this?

I know it may sound small but I HATE double tapping pedals to get them to turn off/stop.

If they both turn off with a single stomp I'll probably go with the 7. If it takes two well then obviously it's off the table.
