Can anyone tell me if i can use the boss distortion ds-1 pedal for bass.I'm looking to get the same sound as cliff burton.I already have a morley wah pedal so I'm just looking for the right distortion.I've tried bass overdrive before but it just dosen't seem to be distorted enough.Anyway I'd be grateful if you could let me know out there!!!

The DS-1 is a good, solid pedal (I use it for
occasional solos), but I don't know if it will
give you enough distortion for the Burton sound.
I think it has less than the Boss Bass Overdrive.
Believe it or not, you may want to try a Danelectro
    T-Bone. It's one of those cheap ($30) mini-pedals
but it has a LOT of fat, meaty distortion. Just
don't stomp on it too hard; it's plastic. I was
surprised at how much gain it had. I think it's
the smaller version of Danelectro's Fab Tone,
which I heard also has an awful lot of distortion.
    Hope this helps.

So would the danelectro fab tone get the burton sound then?
