Boss GEB7 Bass Eq as a buffer?

I currently have a Wobo buffer pedal on my pedalboard & I'm thinking about replacing it with a Boss GEB7 Bass Equalizer. I've read that the Boss pedal will help buffer my signal & I would get more out use of the eq than I will from the boost that the Wobo offers. The Wobo or the eq will be the only pedal in my chain that is not true bypass.

    Is this a bad idea?

    Thanks

  3. No.

    Why would it be?

If you want decent responses you need to inspire some discussion. WHY do you think it might it be bad? What are you worried you might loose if you stop using the Wobo?

Exactly, and what precisely is the WOBO doing for you? (Not "what do buffers do" but "what do you hope this buffer is doing for you in your particular setup?")
