I am interested in the Gt-6B. There are a lot of nice features, but can it do the SVT sound well? Anyone...anyone...anyone?
i have a svp-pro pre i have a gt-6b i really don't know what a svt sounds like in front of my face. the acoustic 360 patch is the one that i use the most with the gt-6b - that gives me the jaco tone from the instructional video sorry i couldn't of been more help
No.None of the amp emulators work"well"on any effects unit.On the low side of passable, maybe.Save your money, trust me.If you absolutely need some effects, get separate units.
How will you be using it? Keep in mind amp emulators are designed to sound like the amp recorded. If you put it in front of your poweramp it probably won't sound like an SVT but if you run it direct into the mixer and put it in the context of a mix you may get better results.
I most often use my amp as a monitor and go in to the PA. My sansamp is great for this. I do use the affected signal into my amp and it makes it sound soooo much better! I am thinking of getting a wireless headphone transmitter and some decent ear buds to use with it as my monitor so I don't have to cart my amp around with the decent PA at my church.
I have a svp pro preamp, and i bought a gt6b ,and i say NO it doesn t work! gt6b has a very bad preamp section.effects are good but simulations sucks If you want a good simulator, wait, and see for the next pod bass generatio in september. for information i sold my gt6b 3 weeks after buying, and i have spent very long time know it.
not really, but i know that line6 have updated all the pod serie(gguitare and bass),and the new one will probably be shown at the summer NAMM. They also worked on power amplification to ameliorate their head and combos(it could be intresting to have real line6 bass combo). if you search for a liitle combo with your bass pod ,look at atomic amps,it looks very cool!
