I'm thinking of going pre + power amp for my cab, and already have a boss gt6. Can this be used as a pre amp with a crown k2 or should I look at a dedicated pre like a sans amp or the like?

Anyone wanna sell a crown k2? :eyebrow:
  2. The GT-6B is capable of driving a power amp, and has all the preamp controls that you'd find on a dedicated pre. So, yes, it can be used as a preamp. The thing is that most people don't want to stoop over every time they need to turn up or down or tweak eq. If you're okay with it, then go for it.

There's other power amps out there besides Crown...QSC, Crest, Carvin, Stewart, and Peavey all make good, rock-solid power amps, and they're always coming up for sale in the classifieds. Good luck!
