    Hey all,

Basically boiled it down to these two units.

Which is a better system electronically/mechanically? That is which is more robust, which has better bypass etc etc?

But apart from that, which is just cooler?!

    Much appreciated.

I was going for a Filter Modeler, too. I absolutely wanted one for Filter/Synth sounds.
In the end I found one, and was very disappointed.
The construction is very good. Bypass is neutral (true bypass?).

I just didn't like the sounds it produced.
I remember reading one of the reviews when the unit first came out. It expressly mentionned that it was not as usable on bass as it was on guitar.

I amlso tried the FM4 in the store and was disappointed. Didn't buy it, wouldn't recommend it in general, though I'm sure it makes one or two sounds worth having.
