I noticed many bassists use a boss pedal zone...
isn't it a guitar distortion? is it good on bass???

It does seem to lose some low end, but it cuts through nicely. Paul Malinowski uses one on a few soaring bits on Shiner's Lula Divinia, which is, anyway, a rock album bassists oughta hear.

I see Black Metl bass players use it all the time. Allways, full on... Result: the sound of a vacuum cleaner.

i tried it and thought it really sucked. made some really great sounding gear hae no tone and no depth and no niceness at all :ptoo high gain, eq set for mids rather than lows.

the boss distortion that sounds best on bas imo, its the mega distortion. that thing is a monster. i played one at a local dealer and was pleastly suprised.
