    Hi guys,

I made a little video primarily comparing the new COG T-16 with the Boss OC-2. Let's face it, the OC-2 is the benchmark for analogue octaves, and I'm a huge fan of it (I'm the English guy who owned 9.....I only have 4 now ;) )

The T-16, really is fantastic, especially with the added filter, very powerful feature.

I just had the Nano POG arrive too, so thought I'd throw it in the mix, however it really is a different sounding sub-octave.
Anyway, see what you think, headphones/good speakers absolutely necessary, you will not hear much on your phone/laptop speakers:

    Cheers

great video, showing bass players what they like to hear. -1 octave by itself and handy comparison. I must admit i am impressed with that T-16.

    Well done

    That T16 sounds awesome.

Excellent comparson video too. Thanks for taking the time to make it!

The COG sounds maybe a bit better than the OC-2 to my ear, and lot more versatile. The POG just doesn't sound very good in comparison.

POG has the best octave down by itself, but the attack sounds weird with the normal signal mixed in. OC-2 sounds good, but T-16 has the most versatility and wins my vote.

I think for me the Cog wins.
Small, sounds good and has all the features I'd need or want.

Went from an OC2 to a T16... that Filter knob is incredible. It is DRAMATICALLY more usable than the OC-2 and tracks better IMO.

Great thread. I'm trying to buy an Octave pedal but having some trouble deciding which one. I just bought and sold a Boss bass synth because the tracking was so poopy and while I love boss pedals it's putting me off an OC-2 as a blind buy.

I have to say guys, I have nothing at all against the 3Leaf Octavbre, but for my money, I'd rather have an OC-2 & the COG side by side. Classic sounds from the OC-2 with the COG nailing those sounds also plus the addition of the filter.
    Perfec' setup ;)

I don't gig my OC-2 for the simple fact that it can't get unity volume. I have the 3Leaf octave and love it. When COG releases his two switch version, I'd love to see a comparison with those two. The T-16 sounds great but I need my sub switch!

That's my point, T-16 on the board for standard octave sounds (filter plus clean volume possible at and above unity are big features). Then have the OC-2 next to it setup for the sub only setting.
    Boom, thank me later ;)

I never liked the octabvre, for some reason.
To big, has features I don't need.
Plus; I don't use equipment with other players names on it.
Not even if I was a fan would I do that... if all else was 'right' for me I might consider it, which it isn't.
