Boss Pitch shifter pedals as octave up

Can someone has both a micro-pog and one of the Boss PS-3, PS-5, PS-6 pedals please tell me how the later compares as an 'octave up' doubling effect. I want an octave up effect for soloing, and I like the pog's sound, but I'm curious about the other various effects and options on the pitch shifters.

I haven't sound clips that really show it much. Tone and tracking wise, how does their octave up sound compare to the pog?
