hi! i found a boss slow gear for about $100, which is weird becausde in uruguay usually there are not those kind of things...

i did a search and many people say that its good and rare and it goes very pricy, but my question is: does it sound good with bass?

im doing my pedalboard for doing bass solo work, and this pedal can be a good tool.

    thancks for any input!

I've heard that the SG-1 Slowgear doesn't always work right, but I'd still buy it for that price, and sell it for a profit on eBay. Of course, there is also the SG-2, and that one may not have the resell value of an SG-1.

Just buy it and find a way to sell it in a larger market. I've seen them go for $300 and more.

It's an envelope controlled volume effect. Guyatone makes a clone of it called the Slow Volume. It might be cool for solo stuff. One way to find out............ :bassist:

+1 on the Guyatone. I've used it in a loop with delay and the Unibass to add a little violinishness to the upper octave. Neat little pedal.

There's a slow gear setting on the Boss ME-50B, and you can simulate the effect with a volume pedal.
