A corny joke that I walked right into: I've been playing a Precision with my band for the last year and a half, and last week I bought a Jazz because I wanted that tone also. I brought it to practice on Saturday, and the guys were asking me about it. I made the serious comment that "now I have both bases covered". They started laughing, and I didn't get it for a minute or two. "Oh, BASSES". Oof!
