I definately agree with all the praise that this bass has gotten on here. Picked up the transparent black version of it today and it's the best 5 string I've ever played in the ballpark of around $600. Two thumbs up or something
Congrats, man. The only 5 that I would consider over that one in that price range is the MTD Kingston. Enjoy the BTB!
I wanted to try the Kingston before I got this but they didn't have any.. Are the passive electronics on the kingston decent output? That'd be my only concern and it was a big reason that I went with the 18 volt actives on the btb, lots of headroom. This bass blew away all the other 5's I tried in this price range. I think I tried a used yamaha trb5-II, a yamaha rbx765a, a fender 5, a schecter stiletto and some old 1980's kramer 5 (TOTAL METAL! ) and the btb held it's own and even blew away some of them.
Congrats on your new bass. There is a 4 & 5 string version where I work & they're great basses. The only thing I don't like about it that the body is a little too wide for my liking. <a href="http://www.theoremnyc.cjb.net"><img width=385 height=70 src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1174383&a=8647027&p=41535909&Sequence=0&res=high" border=0></a>
