Bought the second one

  1. Hi all,

I sort of posted this allready in another thread. I bought a new Fender Mexican Jazz bass yesterday (and am very happy with it). Did a little search and check in the shops last few days. Compared new Squier, MIA, MIM and one '82 Squier '62 reissue (JV serie). The last one was absolutely terrible, it looked womdrefull but it sounded like nothing totaly dead. My thought was that the MIM sounded defanatly better then the new Squiers (which are pretty good for the money) but that the MIM and the MIA just sounded different, not better or worse more different. The MIM has a higher output and therfore more punch. The MIA is more subblte, more funky nicely grunting, while the MIM have a more pumping sound (which suites my music better) so beside the money issue I chose the MIM. It's three tone sunburst and I'm pretty happy with it, great slap tone (something my Yamaha doesn't have).
