Bout to buy...

Well guys, I'm gonna go sometime this Christmas and treat myself to a Mark Hoppus sig becuase I love a J body with P pickups. Anyway, I was just wondering if I should try and negotiate the price down and how to get a jazz tone control put on it. I've seen Mark's and a few others on the bay that have had the Jazz tone control. I was wondering how you could do this and also if it changes the sound versus the regular no tone knob if the knobs on the jazz tone control are to set to both all the way up.
