What do you think makes a bigger impact on tone, the make and model of the speaker cab, or the size and configuration of the speakers?

The biggest factor in the tone is the overall design, so in that sense brand and model are most important.

Speaker size is pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Buy with your ears not your eyes.

yeah.. I agree. Speaker size doesn't really matter when you get down to it.. but 4 10s will push more air than 1 15.... i would like to have a 4x10 with a 1x15 on the bottom.. that would be lovely :)

  5. Get a 4x12 like mine. Pushes more air that both combined, I think.

Of course, you acutally have to BUILD the cab, cause no one makes a bass 4x12.

    Rock on

    Doesn't Peavey make a 4x12?
