Family guy watchers, I just realized they actually killed off Brian the dog. I thought this was some kind of joke but apparently it's not.
    What are your thoughts?

Family Guy is still making new episodes??
  3. People still watch those shows? I stopped about a year ago when it became about Seth's political views.

I'm sure he'll come back to life with a "remember the time.....".

I've had quite enough of Family Guy.

I've never gone out of my way to watch the new episodes, but I've seen a lot of reruns. I can't imagine the show without Brian.

I liked this thread better on the Gear Page where it was called "Family Guy (Spoilers!)"

And Jesse (Mr. Herbert's dog) is still alive?

Stewie will use one of his Time Machines to bring him back. Brian is the best part, IMO.

Probably. Brian was my favorite character on that show apart from Quagmire and the handicapable cop (his name escapes me right now).

A year ago? He was doing that from the start.

I agree with most of his political views so that's never been a problem. It's the overuse of the "remember that time" cutaways that killed the show for me.

And the open bigotry. I've heard people defend it as satire, but it's common, consistent, and never framed with humor. I never want to hear one of his asinine Jew jokes ever again.

meh...i'll get over that one. Producers are trying to get viewers back, not going to work.

Now, a much more heartbreaking TV death occurred last night that I won't get over as quickly...no spoilers here, i guess.

I cried when I saw that. If they bring Brian back, it will be dream sequences or memories. Stewie destroyed the time machine before Brian was hit by the car. By the end of the episode, they'd decided that to get over missing Brian, they should get a new dog, Vinny. Vinny disclosed that he'd lost his family and to get over the loss, he decided to get a new family. It ended with Vinny sleeping in Stewie's room.
