Imagine being this butthurt about a guitarist designed bass that no one is ever going to make you purchase or play. :roflmao:
You should inform him that he didn’t get your permission beforehand.

I think I remember reading it was the fireplace mantle? Could be wrong.

I had one for a short time. Massive neck dive and I never liked the way it felt. Sound was crazy though good. Flipped it some time ago.

    Got it:thumbsup:
Was just pointing out that it isn’t the same as this

This came out in 2011 and I believe the Dillion version, which was never authorized by Brian May, came out even before that.

Just amazing how a thread can be started about something ‘new’ that’s 10 years old and older.

I see the endorsement by Roger Newell. I'd met him a couple times back in the mid '70s when he was playing/touring with Rick Wakeman. I saw him play the original Wal triple-neck bass! :bassist:

That was my first thought, as well.

I had a Glenn Frey bass, so, why not?

I would be interested, but I only play sub-short scale bass, 20.5" to 24.5" scale, and since I like the Brian May guitar look, I decided to buy his mini May guitar and have it converted to a bass, including adding a third pickup and fake slide switches. Here's the guitar as it exists, and my mockup of the conversion.

Small body + long neck = neck dive.

Unusual sound! Demos are few and far between. But what I heard was intriguing. Reminds me a little of the sound of a Valco Pocket Bass.

I wouldn’t mind owning one. I could easily find good uses for it.

  18. Can't afford this right now. I'm saving up for the Jimi Hendrix ukulele. ;)

Only on talkbass would using the term butthurt imply that someone needs to “calm down”. I’d hate to see some of you on the more unregulated parts of the internet.
Ok, so he isn’t butthurt. He’s a lousy comedian beating his lame material into the ground. Got it.
