bridge and neck?...

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by ZenBass, Jul 26, 2004.

  1. Do Bridge and Neck Pickups have different freq responses or is it just the route hole size that is different?....

  2. Sometimes they're voiced different, many times it's just pole piece spacing, and often times, as with J single coils, they're wound reverse of each other, polarity-wise, so you can use 'em like a humbucker.

they're often wound differently. A bridge pickup will usually be wound hotter than a neck pickup to better balance the two.
