Been thinking about doing a PJ build, but I always ended up playing them as more of a P, while only occasionally going solo J or blending in the J. Anyone have some favorite alternatives to the bridge pickup in an ersatz PJ setup? Thinking about a Nordy big split for example

I made P / reverse P and I like it very much. It has four sounds: each pickup soloed, paralel and serial, and they are all useful.

  3. How bout adding a Nordy Big Split to a Squier P Bass? I'm thinking about it. What would be the best option ... V/V/T or V/B/T? Not sure if there's a big sound difference and how the character of the existing P would change.

really depends what you want the bridge pickup to do?
    Raw?
    Mild?

  5. More raw similar to the Big Singles.
