I have a fender jazz with S1 switching. I replaced the original pickups with Dimarzio 123's. When I depress the switch the bridge pup goes dead. I have checked the diagram and the wiring seems right. I soldered the black and white wire's together and ran the red and green wires to contact. I'm Baffled.

If you're going to assume anything (not recommended), always assume your work is wrong and not any component.

Switches are among the more challening wiring projects and I'd bet you've got it wrong.

Wire the pickup straight to the jack and you'll know if the pup has an issue ("assuming" it's wired properly and the rest of the chain is operating properly).
