Bridge Pup options for project P/J bass

hey guys I'm after some advice on pups for my new project bass i've got on the go. I've salvaged a US HW1 P pup for the neck and am after something to give the bass a bit of growl when both pups are on and something that holds its own when solo'd and has a good low end . Idealy it would be a J style pup but i could go soapbar/MM style if needs be and is going to be an all passive affair with only 1 vol control and a 3way switch
