The Manual of my QSC 1850HD and the employee at my local music store says that when in brdiged mono mode, you leave your channel two flat and just use your channel one gain. Is this right, for achieving the best volume/power?

Side note : RUnning into svt810e + RBI

There were a couple of threads about this very subject but I seem to remember reading them and that is exactly what was recommended.

turn Channel 2 all the way down and use Channel 1 (or your preamp) to control the volume.

    Why doubt the manual?

leave gain 2 off...make sure you're using the proper speakon connector, a 4 pole. There are a couple threads about that...I recently made a speakon cable for bridged mode and consulted those threads. Bridged is the way to go!
