Bronco bass pup vs Squier CV 50s bass pup

Do they sound similar? I though when I heard a bronco “Oh that sounds pretty cool, but would the 50s be better?”, I know the bronco pup is a strat pup, and the 50s is actually a bass pup, but would the sound be similar between the two? Does the scale length come into it? Thanks for any feedback on this thread! It is all very much appreciate and will help me when I try the two next time I visit my local shop.
