Yeah, I likes the SD, but I likes the RFE more, so I traded. And honestly, SSDI gave me bad looks ever since the little silver pedal came to my house, it was pretty much the definition of redundancy, which isn't always bad. If I could afford to keep them all I would, Broughton for Broughton is not always a win, but it's never a loss. Cash is not king round these parts

  2. Funny, I do almost the same. Mids dimed at ~800 Hz, leave the High Switch alone, Low Switch to the left. :D I was under the impression though that the Low middle position was “neutral”, i.e. without a mids boost.

I find the SV-Pre to be very sensitive to settings and reactive to the bass you’re plugging in. My Sandberg and Fender sound completely different, even though they’re both P-style basses and sound very similar without the SV-Pre in the signal chain.

You'll find that most of Josh's jfet staging are like that, they're all set a little different, but I've found the bass volume in the middle gives me the most variation in drive, instead of just ON/OFF, its nice and gradual. The fliptops gain is worked out really well, I suppose its just going to get better and better as they come out

Here's my P-15 and Fliptop back to back.

Each order is, just the Broughton, then added a little Studio Boost, then just the Broughton with Cabzone B15 setting, then added a little Studio Boost.

Apologies in advance for my playing. Squier CV60's P with Hammond DarkStar/ GHS PW.

I just got an image in my mind, of a group of shadowed faces, sitting in an unfinished basement around a folding table, an elaborate board game on the table with an 8 sided die, and precariously stacked piles of Broughton pedals everywhere. Blood lust oozing from every pore.

Very nice groove and production quality on the demos! They're all winners in my book, don't make me pick a favorite.

while we're doing sound demos, here's a jam I did with my band Sunday. No Broughton preamp, it's P bass > Monocomp > Studio Boost > Mesa WD800 DI

That might offend any potayto, potahto, or person persons out there.

How about "Something something something something something something"?

I thought Potato Friend was already gender neutral and the end user determined the eventuality?

Or are they just simply removing "Mr." from the name?
